每隻狗狗踏入青春期的時間也不同，大型犬約於9-12個月大，而有些小型犬可能5-6個大就已經開始了！作為家長的您，是否已經準備好迎接這個挑戰？
青少年犬在生理、心理、行為、社交、學習等各方面也會轉變，有些家長不了解，會以為狗狗越大越反叛，導致關係變差，造成青少年犬的棄養率比一般高。
我們自己也當過青少年，應該很清楚這成長期對未來身心靈的發展有多重要。
1.焦躁不安，容易激動
Becoming restless and impulsive.
2.好奇心強，挑戰界線
Increasingly curious and attempt to test the boundaries.
3.精力無限，睡眠模式改變
Never get tired. Sleep patterns might change.
4.社交行為改變
Behaviour towards other dogs might change
5. 離群獨立，不一定能馬上喚回
More independent and might not come upon called.
6. 訓練狀況不穩定
Trained skills and habits might come and go.
7. 變得容易受驚 Be scared of things they previously ain’t.
